In her 2007 best-seller The Real All Americans, author Sally Jenkins calls Carlisle "The Team That Changed a Game, a People, a Nation." Indeed, over the 25-year history of their football program, the Carlisle Indians broke down barriers and proved their strength against powerhouse Ivy League squads, while compiling a dominant 167–88–13 record. Legendary coach Pop Warner put the pieces in place, and then Jim Thorpe's arrival brought Carlisle to its pinnacle. Offered is the UPenn game program from Carlisle's very last contest before its football team folded. Led by Bert Bell, Lud Wray and Heinie Miller, the Quakers (who had made their only Rose Bowl in history the previous year) emerged triumphant. Dimensions are 8 x 10-1/2" and overall condition is EX with great interior photos.
