Recall the 1959 “Go-Go Sox” with this pair of original 1958-1962 Hartland Statues. Featured are Chicago White Sox teammates Nellie Fox and Luis Aparicio, who finished first and second in the ’59 MVP voting while leading the Sox to AL pennant. The slick-fielding HOF infielders are afforded icon status with this pristine pair of statue figures that look as though they belong together. Second baseman Fox has the ball in hand ready to start a double by making a toss to shortstop Aparicio, who has his glove outstretched to accept the throw. Both figures stand readily and show full paint, clean surfaces and excellent gloss. Aparicio rates as (NM+) with deference to some light mounting residue on the bottom of the right shoe and a uniform that is just at the point of turning from white to off-white, while Fox merits a (NM) designation with a uniform that is a bit more toned to off-white/light-cream and includes a replica hang tag.
