Regarded by far and away as the toughest figure in the 1958-1962 Hartland Statue baseball series, the Dick Groat figure provides a serious hurdle for set assemblers. This stunning example is sure to cause excitement among those seeking better grade figures. Accompanied by the requisite bat, this Dick Groat batting pose figure makes quite an impression, with a slightly off-white uniform showing desirable gloss and black accent areas that are super shiny with a wet look finish. Under magnification, this free standing statue shows just minor traces of wear on the hands, one ear, the letter “P” on the cap and the shoes. Other than the nick on the cap, the described wear is barely perceptible to the naked eye (at least to our aging orbs) and overall this very pleasing figure presents a solid (NM) appearance. Included with the statue is a replica hang tag.
