Little do many realize, but Phils catcher Jimmie Coker batted .400 in 1961. He rapped out 10 hits in 25 at-bats, plus compiled 7 walks. His game jersey features "Coker" chain-stitched inside the collar, with Wilson size-42 tagging on the left front tail, above a chain-stitched "1961" label. Light to moderate overall wear. Coker most likely wore this jersey during spring training, however, the possibility exists that he could have used the jersey during the season after being recalled from the minors and finding that another player was wearing his normal #10. The handsome jersey is all original with no alterations and is a fine 1961 Phillies specimen.
