Encapsulated and declared "Authentic" by PSA/DNA. One of many legendary players to grace the uniform of the Kansas City Monarchs, Jack Roosevelt Robinson only got to play one season (1945) in the Negro Leagues before being signed to a contract by the Brooklyn Dodgers. The first African-American to be enshrined at Cooperstown in 1962, the legendary Robinson (d.1972) is the endorser of the offered 1956-63 Artvue Hall of Fame Plaque postcard. The ("8-9") autograph was crisply executed via blue ballpoint pen on the unused (EX-MT) canvas. The script is preceded by a Best Wishes Ed salutation. For baseball historians or fans of "Dodger Blue," this impressive signature will find a prominent place in any advanced gathering.
