Yankees great Joe DiMaggio looks very sluggerish in this fantastic late-1930s photo. Taken by photographer Bill Greene early in DiMaggio's career, this immaculate photo was developed as a contact proof. This painstaking developing process results in incredibly sharp image definition, such as that seen in this amazing 4x5 original photo.
This prized piece presents minimally as (NM+) with just slight wear on the top left corner that doesn't come anywhere near the impeccable image area and the name "Joe DiMaggio" is written delicately on the reverse with just scant traces showing unobtrusively on the top border region of the obverse, also without compromising the image area. Seen in a batting pose follow-through of his prodigious swing, the youthful "Yankee Clipper" appears so sharp you half expect him to start talking. If he did, surely he say take advantage of this golden opportunity to win this dynamic photo.
