Description

Memphis, Tennessee native Bill Madlock used this bat as a member of the Cubs during the 1974-1975 labeling period. The Hillerich & Bradsby (35"/33oz.) professional model has heavy use including a handle crack that has been repaired with two nails. Ball and ball stitch marks are visible on all parts of the barrel, a light layer of pine tar is on the bat and cleat & bat rack marks are also present. A two-inch piece of red tape has been removed and longtime clubhouse manager Yosh Kiwano has "Yosh marked" the bat just to the right of the "Powerized" logo near the center branding (marker has since faded). Madlock has signed the area to the left of the barrel ("7-8") with inscriptions My Game Bat and 4X NL Batting Champ 75,76,81,83. The knob has the model number "C235" stamped on and his number "18" is written in Sharpie. Full photo LOA from PSA/DNA for bat. Auction LOA from JSA for signature.
