Description

Every player has their quirks, and Starlin Castro seems to be no exception. He is one of a few players who orders many different types of bats. In addition to a Marucci bat also offered in this auction, and Rawlings bats that he uses, Castro also used this 34”/31.1 oz. Louisville Slugger S318 bat during the 2015 season. The bat features heavy use including pine tar and an 8” crack in the handle, which is being held together by white tape (although the bat is visibly bowing) The knob has specifications and player identifiers written or etched on and the medicine tape has been wrapped around the handle to enhance grip. According to the (2) MLB holograms that come with the bat, this bat was used by Castro in a June 17, 2015 contest against Marc Rzepczynski of the Cleveland Indians to hit a foul ball (which broke the bat handle).
