The 1959 Bluebonnet Bowl pennant is a Clemson Tigers version with a fantastic array of graphics, including a Tiger bursting from a football, the bowl title, logo, date, location and school name, this pennant also announces this 1959 event as the “First Annual Bluebonnet Bowl”, Clemson soundly defeated the TCU Horned Frogs by a score of 23-7, on 12/19/59 at Rice Stadium in Houston, the graphics/lettering are bold and nearly full against a mildly faded background and the pennant shows as a solid (EX) example with deference to typical pinholes in the usual locations
