As the bloody Civil War continued to wreak havoc across the land, President Abraham Lincoln was obliged to run a re-election campaign. Lincoln and his new running mate Andrew Johnson are named prominently on the offered Civil War Era "Union Presidential Ticket". Dated 11/8/1864, this genuine period antique political promoter was issued in Vinton County, Ohio. In addition to candidates Lincoln and Johnson, this 3x7 handbill provides a list of "Electors" at bottom. The upper region is decorated with a sketch of "Lady Liberty" wielding a "Union" sword, signifying this ticket was intended for citizens who remained loyal to the USA. Though several pinholes and light fold lines are evident, this 150 year old ticket remains appealing with bold graphics and text, showing approximate VG-EX detail.
