The 5x6x1 box is impressively well-preserved and sturdy with nicely intact images on the top and bottom panels; routine light edge rubbing; and minor vintage tape reinforcement in the corners. Contains all original cards/checker pieces plus the weathered, tape-repaired instructions sheet, which charmingly reads, in part, "The intense general interest in the national game of Base Ball for many years past, has caused a general demand for some parlor game embracing the same points; and many have spent much time studying on different methods. This parlor game is the result of extended experiments by professional players and covers every practical point that arises in the field game, and they are so combined and arranged that a score card kept for one of these games is indistinguishable from the score of an actual field game by the latest rules."
