Description

Just a short drive from Huggins & Scott's Philadelphia office lies Cheltenham High School—alma mater of poet Ezra Pound, world leader Benjamin Netanyahu, and baseball's one-and-only Mr. October. This trio of CHS yearbooks showcases terrific team/action shots of Jackson with the baseball, football and basketball teams, wearing #56 in all but one picture when he instead dons the familiar #44 of his Yankee years. Best of all, Reggie's senior-portrait caption says he "hopes for professional baseball"! In full, it reads, "REGINALD JACKSON / Reggie...football Holden Award winner and Co-Captain—future 'All American'...basketball and baseball star...hopes for professional baseball...sports cars...'screaming' '55 Chevy...sovereign independence." Adding to the weight of history here is a full-page memoriam to slain president JFK. EX condition overall.
