Description

Fly high with this collection of vintage sports flags. Comprised mainly of baseball examples, this 1940s-1960s collection of (9) pennants waves proudly on the strength of featuring important and scarce types.

Leading the pack are (3) 1960s New York Yankees with: 1961 full-size “American League Champions” with team photo in handsome (EX-MT) condition with deference to a couple of pinholes at left; and (2) 25x9 gray pennants with red and white top-hat and bat logos (both VG).

Other keys are: 1950s Baltimore Orioles full-size early MLB example with “Bird over ball and bats” applique (EX); 1950s Cleveland Indians full-size with early “Chief Wahoo” applique (EX, light soiling); 1940s Pittsburg Pirates full-size with dynamic buccaneer applique (VG-EX) due to a few moth holes, presents better; 1950s Army college football full-size with awesome “kicking mule” applique (VG-EX).

Rounding out this group are (2) full-size 1960s baseball with: Cincinnati Redlegs with Frank Robinson facsimile signature on stadium applique (EX-MT+); and Los Angeles Dodgers full-size with small pitcher and large stadium appliques (VG-EX+).
