Graded FAIR 1.5 by SGC. A superb 1952 Topps #261 Willie Mays example. This first Topps card of the five-tool New York Giants Hall of Fame legend is the undisputed key to the 1952 Topps #1-310 low series and pictures Mays as he readies to take the National League by storm. With exception to a slight diamond cut, the front is crystal clear with barely touched corners, snow white edges and captivating player/uniform details. A nearly inch-long sliver of tape found on the middle left edge of the reverse accounts for Mays' overall judgment. Despite that technical factor, this early "Say Hey" still exhibits fantastic overall eye appeal!
