Natural rivals by virtue of their uniforms, Ted Williams and Mickey Mantle were fierce competitors in statistical categories, as well, swapping first and second place in the 1956 and 1957 batting title races. This impressive display features a 1951 black-and-white photograph autographed by both. Framed to 29-3/8 x 29-1/4”, the piece features a blue matte featuring Yankees and Red Sox logo designs. The center attraction is a 5-3/4” x 7” (visible image area) photograph signed by both in blue marker. The signatures both trumpet “perfect 10” potency. Just above, a black-and-white photo shows Mantle taking a ferocious right-handed swing. Just below, Williams is pictured launching a home run in his final career at-bat as Baltimore Orioles catcher Gus Triandos awaits the delivery that never made it past home plate. Accompanying is a full photo LOA from PSA/DNA.
