Description

Not Lacrosse the sport. LaCrosse the footwear company that was founded in La Crosse, Wisconsin, back in 1897. Starr endorsed the slick line of athletic sneakers (reminiscent of Converse and Keds) toward the end of his Hall of Fame career. This 11" x 13-1/2" advertising piece shows light peripheral wear and the typical horizontal crease at the base of Starr's die-cut head. The easel back is no longer present.
