A wealth of antique tobacco cards and ephemera awaits the winner of this crammed full scrapbook. Filled with mostly non-sport type issues, this vast assortment of (500+) pieces dates to the 1880s-1910s. Decorated with an embossed castle scene and the simple title "Album" on the front cover, this ancient keepsake shows considerable wear, however the great majority of the attached items present in pleasing condition with vibrant colors and distinct images. Both cover boards are detached, the pages are fairly brittle with edge chipping throughout and several sections are loose or cut out. Featured are numerous tobacco cards, store trade cards, postcards, clippings, publication pages and other items, which are all adhered to the pages by means of adhesive. While most are non-sport types, there are a number of 1910 T51 Murad multi-sport College Series types. Other items of note are: a 1913 T200 Fatima Americans card with Nap Lajoie (presents FR details with deference to a small tear and traces of paper residue across the bottom); an irregularly trimmed cabinet photo of the "The Battleship Maine"; a page of (15) 1909 T76 Turkish Trophies Jigsaw Puzzle cards that are generally bright and attractive; and a page of c.1889 John L. Sullivan newspaper clippings with two photos, including one incredible shot of the bare-knuckle champ without a mustache. Also present are hundreds of cards featuring assorted animals, birds, famous figures and more.
