Description

Enduring their penultimate campaign in Boston, the 1935 Redskins played to a 2-8-1 mark, marking the lone losing season in the franchise’s first 15 years. These (7) gameday programs were issued that season. Includes:

September 29 vs. Brooklyn Dodgers: issued at Fenway Park, the eight-page program presents (VG-EX) with covers/pages intact and a slight vertical crease. In an auspicious season opener, the Redskins bested their Brooklyn counterparts, 7-3.

October 6 vs. New York Giants: issued at Fenway Park, the eight-page guide presents (VG) with covers/pages intact and a vertical compacting fold. The ‘Skins fell, 20-12 that afternoon to touch off an eight-game losing streak.

October 20 at New York Giants: issued at the Polo Grounds, the eight-page publication presents (GD) with covers/pages intact. There is significant spine separation and (2) hole punchings (likely to facilitate storage in a binder). The Giants prevailed, 17-6 that day to complete a season sweep of Boston.

October 27 at Pittsburgh Pirates: issued at historic Forbes Field, the 20-page guide is crease-free and presents (GD) with covers/pages intact. There is significant spine separation and (3) hole punchings (likely to facilitate storage in a binder). The Pirates blanked the Redskins, 6-0.

November 3 vs. Philadelphia Eagles: issued at Fenway Park, the eight-page souvenir presents (GD) with crease-free covers/pages intact. There are (3) hole punchings (likely to facilitate storage in a binder). The Eagles edged the ‘Skins, 7-6 that day. Two weeks later, the scheduled rematch in Philly was cancelled due to inclement weather.

November 10 vs. Chicago Bears: issued at Fenway Park, the eight-page guide presents (EX) with crease-free covers/pages intact. The hosts suffered a 30-14 shellacking that day.

November 17 at Philadelphia Eagles: issued at the Baker Bowl, the 20-page guide presents (VG) with covers/pages intact and moderate spine and cover wear. That day’s game was never played, as snow and rain forced its cancellation.
