Marvel Comics version of the "Big Green Monster" was launched in 5/62 with the "The Incredible Hulk" issue #1. H&S sold this mega-key first issue and the follow-up issue #2 in our November, 2018 auction. Both of these important early issues were rated 8.5 by CGC and advanced comic seekers will be thrilled to get a shot at this 9/62 The Incredible Hulk #3 issue, which is also CGC graded (8.5). This highly desirable grade positions this remarkable new to the market example as "1/15" at the 8.5 level on CGC's Census, with 20 higher out of a Universal Grade population of 644 total certified examples. Grading label notations include "Off-White Pages, 1st appearance of Ringmaster and the Circus of Crime, Origin of the Hulk retold". This green behemoth smashed his way into comics fame by....well, smashing and this high grade example is certain to be a big smash with collectors.
This new to the market comic comes from the spectacular Maryland collection, which has been lovingly stored by the original owner for more than half of a century.
