As the 1960s was earmarked by the assault on the single-season home run mark and featured no fewer than five sluggers eclipsing the 500 round-tripper plateau, Rawlings emphasized the importance of “flashing the leather” on these (3) vintage posters. Used as point-of-sale promotional visuals, each measures 22x30” and features a black-and-white player likeness and his facsimile signature. Included are: Rick Reichardt: the powerful Angels outfielder is portrayed in his home uniform dating to post-1965; Brooks Robinson: easily the most appropriate subject for a baseball glove ad, the Arkansas native is clad in his Orioles road ensemble that dates to 1963; Billy Williams: pictured in his Cubs road uniform dating to post-1962. Printed on thin stock, these rare survivors present beautifully with no tears. For the sake of accuracy, we note moisture-induced wrinkling at the right edge of each, as well as age-induced foxing confined to the reverse of the Reichardt poster. These are ideal for autographs and framed display!
