The adventures of "The Incredible Hulk" began with a six-issue run published by Marvel Comics in 1962-1963. The big green Avenger was next seen in the Tales to Astonish anthology series sharing space with Giant-Man and the Sub-Mariner beginning with issue #59 in 1964. Ultimately Hulk regained his own solo title in 1968, when TTA became Incredible Hulk #102 and the Sub-Mariner went solo after a one-shot issue with Iron Man. While the earliest stage of Hulk-kind is represented elsewhere in this current auction (in the form of a CGC graded example of issue #3), this lot covers the TTA and IH runs, with a few issues from the former and a nice sized bundle from the latter series. Featured are:

(3) Tales to Astonish issues with: #73 (VG-), #76 (GD), #78 has a 1 x 1-1/2" section of surface loss at top right, otherwise presents GD details
