While the Hall of Fame is now admitting the likes of Raines, Smith and Trammel, baseball purists remain bewildered as Gil Hodges remains an afterthought. The former Brooklyn great and pilot of the most improbable World Series triumph ever has delivered a bold autograph in this Cooperstown-worthy display. Framed to 13-3/4 x 18-7/8”, a graphite pencil cut signature projects (“9”) potency and is accented by an 8x10” black-and-white photo of Hodges (d.1972). Included, as well (adhered to the reverse) is a Pee Wee Reese cut signature (graphite pencil, “8-9” strength). Accompanying is a full photo LOA from JSA.
