Description

The current Arizona Cardinals are certainly well traveled. Following two decades of amateur play, the Cardinals joined the NFL as a charter member in 1920 and called a half dozen stadiums home during their 1898-1959 tenure in Chicago. A move to St. Louis and home bases of Sportsman's Park and Busch Stadium came next in 1960, running through to 1987. Then came the relocation as the Phoenix Cardinals to Sun Devil Stadium from 1988-2005 and now the team is in State Farm Stadium, with a claim to representing the entire State of Arizona. Make the Chicago to St. Louis connection with this vintage football program lot of (41) dating from 1948-1969. Part of the great "Portland Collection", this choice selection is very appealing across the board, with just a few of the earliest editions showing any more than minor wear. Featured are:

(2) 1948: 10/24 (EX), 11/21 (GD) due to scuffing and a small hole on the front cover, otherwise fairly solid

(1) 1949: 11/20 (VG) with a small tape repair

(1) 1950: 10/29 (EX) with deference to a 1-1/2" spine split

(1) 1951: 11/25 (VG-EX) due to a period compacting fold

(4) 1963: 10/13 (VG-EX), 11/3 (EX), 11/10 (EX-MT), 12/8 (EX+)

Balance range (EX to NM) with:

(4) 1964: 10/18, 10/25, 12/6, 13/13

(5) 1965: 10/4, 10/24, 11/7, 11/28, 12/5

(2) 1966: 9/11, 12/17

(7) 1967: 9/8, 9/17, 10/1, 10/22, 10/30, 11/12, 12/3

(6) 1968: 10/6, 10/20, 10/27, 11/10, 11/24, 12/14

(8) 1969: 8/29, 9/28, 10/19, 11/2, 11/9, 11/23, 11/30, 12/14 with 2" spine split
