Marked by struggles in the standings and at the turnstiles, the first decade of the San Diego Padres was a trying time, to say the least. These (3) jackets were worn by Padres players as the franchise took strides toward contender status. Included are (2) 1970s jackets, each a brown satin-like button-down garment with “SD” sewn to the left breast (one in yellow twill, one in yellow-on-white twill). Each features two front pockets and brown-and-yellow striped stretch ribbed material lining the collar, waistline and sleeve endings. A “Wilson” size “44” label resides within the collar of each. The third jacket hails likely from the 1990s and features a similar design, with the exceptions of the “SD” logo (which is sewn in orange twill), the stretch ribbed material (which is solid brown) and the collar tag (which is a “Felco” label with an MLB silhouette logo and a size “L” flap tag). Light to moderate wear with no specific player identifiers.
