The Phillies franchise pulled out all the stops for its Whiz Kids reunion in the summer of '63. There was a parade, an exhibition contest against the current Phils, and a pre-game ceremony highlighted by the arrival of Jim Konstanty (aka "The Magician") who landed in the Connie Mack Stadium outfield by helicopter. Little wonder, then, that the Phillies Sales Office would want to memorialize the event with an oversized, captioned display piece to hang on its wall for all visitors to see. The 18x28 photo is matted in its original 24x34 frame with the caption, "ATLANTIC AND THE PHILLIES BRING BACK THE 'WHIZ KIDS'—JUNE 5, 1963." The image itself is apparent NM while there is some minor toning to the matte and wear to the frame. An official Connie Mack Stadium sticker appears on the frame reverse with the marker notation "SALES OFFICE."
