Follow "The Man Without Fear" with this considerable collection of Daredevil comic books. Armed with heightened senses and extreme physical prowess, DD safeguards his "Hell's Kitchen" neighborhood from evildoers. Often he is accompanied on his adventures by fellow heroes Black Widow, Elektra and The Punisher, who all turn up in this handsome collection, which is filled with unread examples. While condition runs high in a range of (VF to NM-MT) the most impressive thing about this bundle of (280) 1979-2016 issues, is the fact that (195) are signed by contributing artists and writers with impressive (average "8" to "10") potency, adding up to a whole lot of value. Featured are:

(35) 1979-1986 Bronze/Copper Age issues, most with Frank Miller scripts, (5) are signed by artists (some on the cover, some on the first page) including Klaus Janson, Terry Austin and Denny O, with (4) Daredevil main series issues: #171, #179, #191, #226; and What If #35 "Elektra Had Lived" signed by Terry Austin on the first page, also present is an unsigned copy of DD #169 with the 2nd appearance of Elektra

(245) Modern Age issues with (190) signed, including Mark Waid, John Romita Sr, John Romita Jr, Brian Michael Bendis, Alex Maleev, George Rucka, Charles Soule, David Lapham, Chris Samnee, Jimmy Palmiotti, David Mack, Andy Diggle and Mark Morales

This is one of 9 large lots of comic books from the Michael Solof collection that are being offered in our current auction. All of these lots feature high grade comics, with a good number that are signed by the artists. Solof, who worked at Geppi's Entertainment Museum in Baltimore as the "Collection and Exhibits Manager", has stated that he personally acquired the autographs directly from the artists. Please see our Americana/Comics category to review this collection.

Due to considerable weight, this lot will incur a significant shipping fee.
