Representing the absolute pinnacle of respect and admiration, legendary Argentine footballer Diego Maradona was named the co-FIFA Player of the 20th Century, sharing the honor with none other than Pele. As he neared the end of his international career, Maradona wore this Argentina National Team jersey as his club played to a 1-1 deadlock with Australia in the October 31, 1993 World Cup Qualifier in Sydney. The durene long-sleeve pullover garment features a powder-blue and white vertical stripe pattern, the Argentina National Team logo crest sewn to the left breast and an “Adidas” logo sewn to the right breast. Maradona’s familiar “10” is sewn to the back in black block-style felt numerals. White stretch ribbed knit lines the sleeve endings, while the white-and-blue striped stretch ribbed cotton V-neck has an “Adidas” size “T4” interior tag. All original and unaltered, the pitch apparel shows moderate wear with minor fabric pilling throughout. Accompanying is an LOA from the sister of an ex-Brazilian player, who was given this jersey directly from Maradona.
