Description

A North Side stadium fixture for decades of heartache and the torture of a mythical curse, this Wrigley Field box seats pair never got to enjoy the long-awaited 2016 triumph, as it was removed from the storied ball park in 1998. Measuring 45”-wide and 29-1/2”-tall, the box seat pair features a steel frame that includes armrests and secures two plastic swivel seats and three-panel backrests. On the upper panel of each backrest, metallic identifiers read “2” and “1,” respectively. The item shows the effects of Chicago weather with rust about the metallic components and excessive wear on the plastic panels. Of the 1,775 seats removed during a 1998 renovation, only 600 sets of two were made available to the public, as the rest were kept for parts. Accompanying is a COA from Fred Jacobs of the Stadium Seat Store. Note: due to the size/weight of this lot, a shipping surcharge may apply. Local pickup at our Silver Spring, MD location is strongly encouraged.
