A brash young rookie and multi-sport talent, Deion Sanders took his “Prime Time” act to the Bronx in 1989 and, after being put in his place by Hall of Famer Carlton Fisk, showed that he could compete at the big league level. This professional model bat was issued to Sanders during the era of his memorable debut. The Louisville Slugger (33”, 30.4-oz) “C271” block-letter (last name only) model was turned during the 1988-1989 labeling period. Uncracked, the white ash game-ready lumber shows no use and has a dollar sign (a boastful Sanders tradition) inscribed on the knob in black marker. Accompanying is a full photo LOA from John Taube, PSA/DNA.
