The Southeastern Conference was born in 1933 and soon hit its stride on the gridiron, winning 3 national championships in the 1950s (Tenn., Auburn, LSU) and 5 national championships in the 1960s (Ole Miss, Alabama). This SEC sampling spans those early glory years and is split between regular-season action and Bowl games.
