The woes are well documented. Following the ill-advised sale of Babe Ruth to the rival New York Yankees, the seemingly eternal suffering of the Boston Red Sox was grueling in terms of length, yes, but the manner in which the club repeatedly fell almost certainly led one to believe in “curses.” These (2) World Series black bats are telling reminders that while the BoSox were often competitive, they were indeed snake bitten. Each is a 35” Hillerich & Bradsby model with a black “Smith” finish and gold-colored facsimile signature stampings (or block letter stampings for those who were not under contract with H&B). Includes: 1967: (36) names including Conigliaro, Doerr (coach), Harrelson, Howard, Lonborg, Maglie (coach), D. Williams (manager) and Yastrzemski. Bat presents minimally (EX-MT); 1975: (36) names including Carbo, Evans, Fisk, Lynn, Pesky (coach), Rice, Tiant and Yastrzemski. Presents (NM).
