The Pale Hose rule Chicago in this lot of (4) team-issued and/or game worn apparel items. Includes:
Melido Perez 1991 Game-Worn Jacket: a black nylon button-down garment with “Sox” sewn to the left breast in white-on-gray twill, while a team logo patch is sewn to the left sleeve and a “Comiskey Park Inaugural Year” logo patch adorns the right sleeve. There are two front pockets and the collar’s interior is home to a “Majestic” label with a handwritten notation of “33.” Moderate wear.
1990s-2000s Windbreaker: a blue nylon short-sleeve pullover garment with “Sox” embroidered to the left breast. Within the mesh=lined collar, a “Diamond Collection” label has a handwritten notation of “J.H.” and is accompanied by a size “XL” flap tag. Moderate wear is evident. This was likely worn during spring training or at the minor league level, as no White Sox player of coach with the initials “J.H.” appeared for the parent club during the referenced tagging period.
2001 Jacket: a black nylon felt-lined zippered garment with “Sox” sewn to the left breast in white-on-black-on-gray twill. The left sleeve features a team logo patch, while the right sleeve is home to an American Flag patch (displayed by all Major League teams following the 9-11 attacks). The 3-1/4”-wide collar is comprised of gray-white-and-black striped stretch ribbed knit, while the interior features a “Majestic” label, a size “XL” flap tag and a cloth hanger. Solid wear is evident with perspiration-induced soiling about the collar.
1990s Jacket: a black satin-like button-down garment with “Sox” embroidered to the left breast. There are two front pockets, while black-white-and-gray striped stretch ribbed knit lines the collar, waistline and sleeve endings. Within the quilt-lined collar, a “Swingster” label denotes size “XL.” Based on the tagging, we are unable to confirm that this jacket was issued by the White Sox. Moderate wear.
