In pursuit of the front-running Washington Senators, the 1933 New York Yankees fell short in the standings, as well as in their quest to score 1,000 or more runs for the fourth successive season. During that memorable campaign, this ticket stub was issued at Yankee Stadium for the September 1 contest against the Boston Red Sox. Encapsulated and Graded VG-EX 4 by PSA, the voucher is one of two at its tier with none graded higher. The Yanks bowed to the BoSox, 4-2 in 12 innings that day, despite a complete game and three hits by Hall of Fame hurler Red Ruffing. This Bronx heirloom showcases printed seating and event details, as well as a “Game No. 56” identifier and the facsimile signature of owner Jacob Ruppert.
