Picture yourself with a private screening of The Three Stooges antics anytime you want, with this 1937 Pillsbury's Farina "The 3 Stooges Moving Picture Machine". This cardboard contraption measures 6-3/4 x 7 x 1-3/4" and reports in impressive condition with minor wear. Operated by a hand turned spoke, this built up viewer box is loaded with a series of heavy stock paper photo slides with scenes from the Stooges short "Uncivil War". For display purposes the best feature is the tall end panel, which is decorated with oval portraits of our favorite knuckleheads, with Curly, Moe and Larry, followed by a Columbia Pictures logo at bottom. Also included is a modern 8x10 photo signed ("8-9") by famed child actress Edith Fellows (d.2011). Reported as coming from the collection of Steve Cox who wrote the Larry Fine authorized biography "One Fine Stooge", this like-new photo sees Fellows surrounded by the Stooges in a promo shot for the accompanying 1937 Pillsbury Moving Picture Machine. Auction LOA from JSA for the Fellows autograph.
