With help from department-store owner Rodman Wanamaker, the Professional Golfers Association of America (PGA) was founded in February of 1916, and the first PGA Championship was held in October of that year. Its match-play origins gave way to stroke play in 1958. Walter Hagen and Jack Nicklaus share the record of 5 PGA Championship titles apiece. Highlighting this trio is a program and rare tag from Byron Nelson's second PGA Championship win.
