U.S. Open history dates back to 1895, shortly after the founding of the United States Golf Association (USGA), and the Father's Day Weekend tournament remains open to both amateurs and professionals to this day. This near-complete run features many of the biggest names of the era, from Trevino and Watson in the 1970s and 1980s to Payne Stewart in the 1990s up through Tiger in the 2000s. Indeed, Stewart's 1999 win is especially significant because it was his last major championship, coming just a few short months before he died in a plane crash. Condition is EX to NM.
