Description

Celebrated comic creator Will Eisner has a Hall of Fame award named after him. A large part of his fame was derived from his groundbreaking character "The Spirit." Originating as a Sunday newspaper comics supplement, Eisner's masked vigilante first appeared in comic book form with this 1942 Police Comics issue #11, reprinting The Spirit's early newspaper strip adventures. This well preserved comic hits the auction block with a CGC Conserved grade of (5.0) and label notations that include "Cream to Off-White Pages, 1st comic book appearance of The Spirit by Will Eisner, Gil Fox cover and art, Conservation includes: cover reinforced". Advanced comic collectors throw up a dragnet and don't let this important Gold Age key issue slip by you.
