Tobacco card anthropologists unearth a major treasure with this c.1910 scrapbook filled with (900+) multi-sport and non-sport cards. Adhered in an orderly fashion throughout, these cards show an excellent degree of preservation quality. Overall the surfaces are clean and bright with pleasing gloss and vivid colors, with the great majority presenting as above average to better and small percentages ranging as high as excellent and as low as mid-grade. In keeping with the time period, the front cover board is decorated in ornate fashion, however the back cover is absent and the page paper is somewhat brittle. Highlights are: 1910 T218 "Champions" near-set of (144/153) with both Jack Johnson and both James J. Jeffries boxing cards; 1910 T220 "Champions" near-set of (39/50) with James J. Corbett, Bob Fitzsimmons, Peter Jackson and (4) silver border variation boxing cards; and 1911 T68 "Heroes of History/Men of History" near-set of (75/100). Included among the scrapbook balance are groups of T51 Murad "College Series", cowboys, flags, buildings and more.
Also present are (35) loose cards in average (VG to EX) condition with a few better and a few lesser: (2) T6 "College Series" with Harvard Football and Yale rowing; (28) T51 "College Series"; (3) T218 "Champions"; and (2) T36 Auto Drivers".
