To celebrate the 100th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln's birth, a new one-cent coin design was introduced in 1909. This new design featured a profile image of "Honest Abe" on the obverse and wheat stalks on the reverse. After a fifty year run the reverse design was changed to the Lincoln Memorial to observe Lincoln's 150th birthday and in 2009 the reverse was changed yet again for a one-year issue of four different designs honoring important phases of our 16th president's life. Beginning in 2010, the current design features a Union Shield on the reverse, while the obverse profile image of our first ever Republican president has remained constant since 1909. All of these designs are well represented in this 1909-2013 Lincoln Cent near run of (310) different coins. Housed in two deluxe Whitman albums, this extensive collection includes (5) key date coins graded by either PCGS or NGC and just (3) absent coins are required for a complete run for the defined period. As is typical with collections of this sort, the oldest coins report in average to above average circulated condition and preservation quality improves through the timeline, with most of the post-WWII issues presenting as full red BU examples.

Highlights are (5) graded key date coins: 1909-S NGC (AU 58 BN) with CAC green sticker; 1914-D PCGS (VF35); 1922 No D Strong Reverse NGC (VG 8 BN); 1931-S PCGS (MS63RD) with CAC green sticker; 1970-S Small Date PCGS (MS65RD)
