Widely considered the best player in the world, soccer icon Lionel Messi wore this Argentina National Team jersey during the FIFA World Cup Group D opening-round match against Iceland on June 16, 2018. The black micromesh pullover garment features the club’s “La Albiceleste” logo crest sewn to the left breast, while “10” is displayed on the front and back in white applique and “MESSI” appears atop the back number. FIFA labels adorn the sleeves while white applique dual-stripe patterns line the shoulders. Within the collar, an applique “Adidas” logo is accompanied by a size “6” identifier. That day’s match, which ended in a 1-1 draw, marked one of the less spectacular moments in Messi’s magnificent career, as his potential game-winning penalty kick was blocked by Iceland keeper Hannes Halldorsson. The coveted jersey shows single-event wear. Accompanying is an LOA from the son of the Brazilian National Team shirts manager.
