One of the great boxing matches of the late 20th Century came on 6/12/89, when "Sugar Ray" Leonard met Thomas "The Hitman" Hearns for the WBO Super Middleweight Championship. Dubbed "The War", this Leonard-Hearns II bout was a rematch of their 1980 "The Showdown" meeting, won by Leonard on a TKO in the 14th round. Neither fighter disappointed in the 1989 rematch, which was declared a draw after the combatants traded blows for 12 rounds. Recall this famous fight with this 1989 "The War" boxing poster. Brought to you by the fine folks at Budweiser, Caesars Palace and Top Rank Inc., this pristine poster is dual-signed by Leonard and Hearns with equal ("9-10") potency. This spectacular presentation is professionally framed to overall dimensions of 24x36 with the double-matted poster showing in a visible area of 17x29. Auction LOA from JSA.
