Description

Red Sox rooters toast your team in fine fashion with this 1950s beer pitcher and stein set of (5) made by Balfour Ceramic. The former property of longtime Boston Red Sox scout George Digby, this matching set includes (1) 9-1/2" tall pitcher and (4) 4-1/2" tall steins. Digby's name appears on all of the beer steins and each piece in the set is hallmarked on the bottom with "Balfour Ceramic, Attleboro, Massachusetts". Each of these well-preserved ceramic drinking vessels is decorated with identical Red Sox logos and metallic gold accents and all (5) pieces present in excellent to like-new condition with minimal to minor signs of wear. Light, sporadic crazing is noted on the pitcher and one of the mugs has a chip on the bottom edge which is fairly unobtrusive, otherwise this set shows bright clean surfaces, bold graphics and abundant wet-look gloss.
