Sports and beauties mingle with this collection of 19th Century tobacco cards. Issued by famous makers Duke, Goodwin and others, these antique "N" cards report in surprisingly solid condition, in light of their extreme age. Featured are (13) cards ranging from above average to better, including some classic baseball themed types, with:

(3) 1888 N135 "Talk of the Diamond": "A Ball Tender" (VG); " A Foul Catch" (VG); and "A Hot Ball" (VG+)

(2) 1889 N88 Duke's "Terrors of America": "The Catcher" (VG-EX); and "Snowballing" (GD+)

(2) 1889 N136 Duke's "Terrors of America": "Foot Ball" (VG); and "The Pitcher" (GD)

(4) 1889 N165 Goodwin "Games and Sports Series": "Base Ball Fielder" (VG); "Club Swinging" (GD+); "Cricket" presents EX detail with deference to a small bit of surface loss on one corner of the reverse; and "Yachting" (GD+)

(2) 1890 N458 Moore & Calvi "Hard a Port" playing card: "9 of Clubs" (FR) due to a small bit of surface loss on one leg, otherwise presents VG detail; and "The Little Joker" (GD)

Also present is (1) card not counted in the lot total with album paper residue on the reverse and pinholes on the top and bottom borders: 1888 N104 Duke's Honest Long Cut Comic Characters "Off His Base"
