The nation's capital has hosted the MLB All-Star Game on five occasions, which are 1937, 1956, 1962, 1969 and 2018. Two of these mid-summer classics are recalled with this pair of Washington Senators press tie-clips. Issued to members of the working press, these fashionable identifiers raised the game for baseball jewelry by going beyond ordinary press pins as stylish and useful accessories. Representing the original Senators franchise (now the Twins) is a very pleasing 1956 press tie-clip with a relief image of longtime team owner Clark Griffith (EX-MT). The second Senators franchise (now the Rangers) is represented by an even more pleasing 1962 press tie-clip graced with a relief image of the Capitol dome (NM).
