Individuals and polar opposites in terms of demeanor, Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris were a natural pair in the Bronx, on Madison Avenue and in any other retail endeavor. Among the most coveted souvenir pairings, these 1961-1963 White Base Bobbleheads were all the rage then and remain so among collectors. The scarce survivors include:
Mickey Mantle: presents nicely with signature decal completely intact. While jawline is relatively smooth, there is a series of hairline cracks at the back of the neck with partial separation of a small piece (which remains intact).
Roger Maris: presents splendidly from the front, with facsimile signature decal intact. Jawline remains unblemished until you get to the base of the neck, where three tiny fragments have become disengaged. These pieces are present, however, and can be mended.
