Red Ruffing singles have sold at auction for as much as $5,000—in large part because he signed so seldom relative to teammates Ruth, Gehrig and company. The clutch hurler (and one of the game's best-batting pitchers) was inducted at Cooperstown in 1967 and died in 1986. This medium-toned ONL (Feeney) ball feature Ruffing's "7" signature in between the sweet spot and side panel. Toning touches the signature. Full LOAs from JSA.
