On 1/25/87 the New York Giants ended a thirty year championship drought with a 39-20 victory over the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XXI. A great chronicler of 20th Century sports heroes, Leroy Neiman captured the action with this 1987 serigraph known as the "Giants-Broncos Classic". Neiman's fluid and vibrant style is aptly suited to portray the scene on the Rose Bowl field, with Giants QB Phil Simms in the grasp of a defender but still managing to get off a pass over a dogpile of determined combatants. Seen in a visible area of 27x21, this piece is framed to overall dimensions of 36x29. The serigraph print presents in excellent condition and the frame shows just minor wear.
