Description

Advanced non-sport collectors make a nice score with this 1930s R184-2 W.S. Corp. "Indian Chiefs" complete set lot of (2). Consisting of (24) cards per set, these scarce vintage strip cards depict real life Native American Chiefs including Sitting Bull, with sepia tone images on the obverses and brief bios on the reverses. Favorable condition quality marks these sets as prime targets and the desirability factor amps up considerably with one of the sets made up of (3) uncut vertical strips of (8) cards each. The uncut panels are crisp and clean, however two of them have mild creasing near the middle and all of them show moderate corner wear. The cut set is very handsome, showing EX-MT to NM+ details with deference to (2) lesser in VG condition. Also present are (4) 1934 V254 Canadian Chewing Gum "Papoose Gum Series" cards ranging (VG to VG-EX) with: #5 Sitting Bull, #17 Chief Joseph, #18 white Shield and #45 Noon Day.
