For four and a half decades, the Cleveland Municipal Stadium served as home to the Indians baseball team, the post-war Browns football team and prior to WWII, the Rams football team. With crowd capacity hovering around the 80,000 mark at its peak, the venerable venue was among the largest facilities for both MLB and NFL play. Speaking to the passion of the hometown crowds, hardy fans often withstood biting winds blasting in from Lake Erie to cheer on the favorites. Recall the great successes of the 1948 and 1954 Indians World Series teams and the Browns incredible 1946-1955 AAFC/NFL run with this Memorial Stadium seat. Measuring 24" wide x 32" tall x 18" deep, this wood folding chair with cast iron frame presents handsomely with vibrant green paint. The seat number "19" is stenciled in bright white on the top rung of the ladder-back upright portion and the same rung is affixed on the back with a commemorative brass plate featuring Indians and Browns logos, along with the date range 1932-1996. The aisle indicator "A" is stenciled on the left side of the heavy iron frame, which allows the seat section to stand freely and the folding seat moves up and down with ease. All in all this vintage treasure makes a fantastic presentation.
