Payback is a bitch and America's enemies ultimately paid a high price for the 12/7/41 surprise attack on Pearl Harbor. Offered is a 1942 War Department poster calling for retribution against this infamous bombing by Japanese forces. This WWII military poster measures 27-1/2 x 40" and reports for duty in crisp (EX-MT+) condition, with the only notable detractions being pinpoint holes at two of the junctions of the original period compacting folds. Used as a rallying cry to encourage enlistment in the Armed Services, this poster is laid out with a determined seaman holding up a clenched fist, while looming large over a scene of destruction and the slogan "Avenge December 7". A dramatic call to arms, this vintage poster is a bold reminder of a "date which will live in infamy".
